Gynecology Clinic at Wilson Medical Center

Wilson Medical Center is pleased to announce Dawne (Adams) Lowden, M.D., a member of the Heartland Women's Group, will be conducting a gynecology clinic in Neodesha starting June 21, 2013, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The clinic will be held in the WMC Medical Office Building Specialty Clinic. Following June's clinic, the gynecology clinic will be held the third Friday each month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The Heartland Women's Group provides gynecologic services for patients of all ages, including adolescents and post-menopausal women. They treat abnormal PAP-smear conditions and perform most procedures in the office. Their providers also specialize in cancer prevention and the management of menopausal and post-menopausal conditions.

Dr. Lowden, a Neodesha native, is looking forward to Heartland Women's Group conducting an outreach clinic at Wilson Medical Center. Lowden is known for taking a team approach with her patients, encouraging them to be involved in their healthcare decision-making. She also provides the expertise of a seasoned gynecologic surgeon. She has sought out training on new surgical procedures for prolapse and incontinence surgeries. Some clinic procedures include endometrial biopsies, colposcopies, IUD insertions, and skin biopsies. Surgical procedures such as tubal ligation, diagnostic scopes, and other specialties will also be scheduled.

Dr. Lowden is American Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She received her degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Kansas City, Kansas. She completed her residency in obstetrics & gynecology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Wichita, Kansas.
She serves as a faculty member at Kansas University School of Medicine - Wichita (KUSM-W), is certified in DaVinci Robotic Surgery, a fellow member of ACOG, and serves on the WPPA Board of Directors.
Dr. Lowden has three teenagers who keep her very busy. She and her husband enjoy traveling and are active members of the Lymphoma/Leukemia Society, since one of their children is a survivor. She serves as a coach for Team in Training as a way to give back to the society.
