Wilson Medical Center Announces New Provider for 2019

Wilson Medical Center is honored to announce that Dr. Tonya L. Hill will be expanding her practice and joining providers, Dr. Bert Chronister, and Toni Barnhart, APRN, located at Neodesha Family Medicine starting January 2019. Dr. Hill is very eager and excited about the expansion of her practice and becoming a vital piece of the healthcare puzzle here in Neodesha.

Neodesha Family Medicine is now scheduling appointments for Dr. Hill who will be seeing patients on Wednesdays, starting in January. Hill is a board certified Internal Medicine Specialist who is equipped to deal with any problem a patient brings-no matter how common or rare, or how simple or complex. She is specially trained to solve puzzling diagnostic problems and can handle severe chronic illnesses and situations where several different illnesses may strike at the same time.

"Dr. Hill will be a great addition to our medical team," stated Dennis Shelby, Wilson Medical Center CEO. "Her expertise of Internal Medicine can address difficult and complex cases for patients and referring providers."

Hill is also able to provide special screenings such as DOT Physicals, Pre-employment Physicals, Wellness Exams, KanBe Healthy/Well Child Checkups, Fit for Duty Test, School/Sports Physical, Routine Gynecological Exam/Pap Smears, Peripheral Artery Disease Screening and more.

"I am very excited to start this new adventure," stated Dr. Hill. "I want to do more for the residents I serve and feel that Neodesha Family Medicine is the right fit. I like seeing and taking care of patients, the challenges that come with medicine, and aiding other providers in helping their patients."

Hill sees expanding her practice as an opportunity for both Fredonia and Neodesha to collaborate more and to help our communities stay strong. Her goal is to provide the best possible care to her patients and support the local hospitals and surrounding area.

In March, Sarah Baker, Nurse Practitioner, will be joining Dr. Hill at Neodesha Family Medicine four days a week. She is another piece of the puzzle that fits in snugly with our quality providers, and will assist Dr. Chronister in transitioning toward a more moderate pace in his practice.
