Ruth Deer Memorial Walk Commemorative Opportunities

commemorative brick order form.

In Honor of Our Friends and Loved Ones

The Ruth Deer Memorial Walk created in 1999 through the combined efforts of the Neodesha Cancer Support Group and Wilson County Hospital Foundation, has been relocated to enhance the entrance of Wilson Medical Center. The walk provides a way to honor the memory of loved ones and friends. Additional bricks have been added to the walk for future commemorative opportunities. The public is invited to view the walk and garden area in front of the medical center during day time hours.

The memorial walk idea came from Ruth herself, who had admired one at Victory in the Valley in Wichita. The walk was named the Ruth Deer Memorial Walk in her honor. The original bricks were provided by John Deer and several members of the community were involved in making the memorial walk a reality for Neodesha.
