When Minutes Matter


In the event that a life threatening emergency happens, rest assured that the staff in the Emergency Department at Wilson Medical Center will give you and your family our full attention and highly skilled diligent care. Our experienced staff is trained to recognize and act quickly to treat the most urgent, time sensitive cases first. However, we acknowledge that all of our patients are a priority, and we promise to give you the complete and thorough care necessary to alleviate any fears and get you back on the path to better health.

Get the Care You Need

The Emergency Department (ED) is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The ED is staffed by physicians, as well as mid-level providers such as Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Physicians Assistants who are all certified in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) and ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support).

Today's Technology is Available to You

Wilson Medical Center also utilizes the Avera eCare Telemedicine technology within the Emergency Department to assist with urgent and critical care. This technology allows access to specialists with the push of a button, helping to avoid unnecessary transfers, and reduce patient t travel time and expense by improving care for residents where they live.

Physician Availability Disclosure


THIS NOTICE IS TO INFORM YOU THAT WILSON MEDICAL CENTER DOES NOT HAVE A PHYSICIAN ON SITE 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK

At times when there is no physician present, patients with health care emergencies will be assessed and treated by qualified medical personnel, and will be transferred to another hospital if necessary. In the event a physician is required for your emergency condition, the physician on call will be contacted if they are not present in the facility. on call can be reached via phone or pager if they are not present in the facility.
