Get Fit! Celebrates PT Month

Get Fit! in Neodesha is celebrating Physical Therapy Month during October with a variety of events. Appropriately, the national slogan for 2004 is "Get Fit for Life."
During the last week of October, the wellness facility will have a free application fee-saving new members $25. During the month of October there will be a $5 discount on all gift certificates purchased.

On October 20, the staff invited local Human Resource Departments and Physicians' Offices for lunch. Attendees were given an opportunity to tour the facility.
The 1000 Minute Club contest finished in October and winners received prizes for reaching their goals. These were Kelle Pierce, Dennis Depew, Casey Lair, Heather Odell, Pat Porter, Lynn Overlin, Leland Reedy, Dolores Nanagle, Jeff Cheshier, Pam Hainline, Delores Nelsen, Karla Lewis, Judy Sims, Chris Edwards, Jack Weaver and Velda Weaver.
Get Fit! is a source for the 2004 Taste of Neodesha Cookbooks for the Wilson Medical Center Foundation. The 24 soup recipes were served at the October 4 event. The price is $2 and goes towards purchasing a mobile cart for dispensing medicine to patients.

Get Fit! members are invited to sign up during October for the new game starting on November 3rd-35 Workout Days Till Christmas. The game will end on December 23 and members that are here at least 30 days out of the 35 will win!
A large Christmas tree will be posted on the wall. Each participant will be asked to make an ornament to put on the tree. After a member has completed a level (8 days) they will be allowed to move their ornament up a level on the tree. There will be 4 levels. On the last level, only 6 days of exercise are required to move a ornament.

When you think of fall, one thinks PUMPKINS. All members were invited to bring in a recipe and the staff narrowed the recipes down to three. Then members were invited to read these three recipes and vote on the one they think sounds best. The winning recipe will be available to eat on Friday, October 29.
