Bringing Specialists to Rural Southeast Kansas

Telemedicine is the use of medical information exchanged from one site to another via electronic communications using a tv monitor in our office to improve a patient's clinical health status. It allows patients to communicate in real time with a provider who is in another city. It enables residents in our communities to have access to specialized services that are usually not offered in rural settings. Given specialty physician shortages in the rural area, telemedicine has a unique ability to increase service to new patients.

Telemedicine uses two-way video, email, smart phones, wireless tools and other forms of telecommunication technology. This allows our patients a simple, virtual way to connect with their doctors and ask questions. The benefits of telemedicine are numerous for patients, from shorter wait times to significant cost savings. Our goal at Wilson Medical Center is to provide you with the best care possible, and this is one of the tools that allow us to do that.

Currently we are providing the following telemedicine specialists:

Preventive Medicine
