Year-End Gift Savvy: Save Taxes and Make a Difference This Holiday Season
Gifts come in various shapes and sizes ... some packages are small, some medium size and some are delightfully large. Gifts are great to receive, but there is always a certain satisfaction when we give a gift that makes a difference in someone's life.

You can give this holiday season gifts of all kinds, shapes and sizes to Wilson Medical Center Foundation and no matter how it is given, it will make a difference in someone else's life and help Wilson Medical Center give quality healthcare to its patients.

There are several strategies you can take for resourceful year-end giving.

Write a check, or send a money order. A cash gift is the simplest donation and provides immediate benefits to the Hospital. This charitable gift entitles you to a charitable income tax deduction for your gift. To receive your tax deduction, make sure your gift is post marked on or before December 31, 2006. The post mark date is the date of your gift.

Charge your Credit Card by simply calling us. The date the charge is authorized is considered the gift date. This is also considered a cash gift that you can deduct for income tax purposes only in the year in which you contribute it.

Donating Securities will provide you with an income tax deduction and avoidance of any capital gains tax.

Give a piece of property you own. If the property is fully paid off and has appreciated in value, you can deduct the fair market value of your gift and avoid all capital gains taxes. You can also transfer a deed of your home or farm to us now and keep the right to use the property for your lifetime and that of your spouse.

Give a Life Insurance Policy or simply name us as the beneficiary.
