Decades of Service: WMC Thanks Julie Lair, and Welcomes Mitchell Peitz to Board
In the News, Press Releases | 10/01/25
Wilson Medical Center extends its deepest gratitude to Julie Lair, who recently retired from her role on the Wilson Medical Center Board of Trustees after more than 10 years of dedicated service. Julie’s leadership and commitment have guided our hospital through growth and change, and her influence has left a lasting mark on our entire network and system.
In addition to her board service, Julie devoted more than 13 years as a trusted nurse at Wilson County Hospital. Her dual role as both employee and trustee made her a confidante and advocate for our hospital family, and we are profoundly thankful for her decades of service to Wilson Medical Center and the community we serve.
As we honor Julie’s remarkable legacy, we are also proud to welcome Mitchell Peitz to the Wilson Medical Center Board of Trustees. A Neodesha native, Mitchell is the head boys’ basketball coach at Neodesha High School, a community business co-owner, and a father of four. He manages operations at Neodesha Plastics and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pittsburg State University.
Known for his leadership and commitment to the community, Mitchell has dedicated his time and talents to making a difference both on and off the court. His philanthropic spirit and professional expertise will be a tremendous asset as he steps into this new role, continuing the tradition of strong, engaged leadership at Wilson Medical Center.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Julie for her years of unwavering dedication, and we look forward to Mitchell’s contributions as he joins us in advancing our mission of providing compassionate, high-quality care close to home.
